Our Code of Conduct describes the norms, values and rules of conduct that apply within our organisation. In doing so, we base ourselves on the principles of the United Nations Global Compact and pay attention to topics such as human rights, working conditions, health and safety, diversity and equal opportunities, environmental protection, ethical business conduct, anti-corruption, fraud prevention and responsible business conduct. These principles form the basis for our daily business operations and for the cooperation with customers, suppliers and other business partners.

De Jong expects employees and business relations to respect and support these principles. Through periodic evaluation and continuous improvement, we are actively working to further strengthen our performance in the field of sustainability and corporate social responsibility. We use the EcoVadis framework as a tool for monitoring, benchmarking and identifying opportunities for improvement.

We also expect our suppliers and subcontractors to act in accordance with the principles of human rights, working conditions, the environment and business ethics as described in our Code of Conduct.

Whistleblower Arrangement

De Jong strives for an honest, safe and transparent working environment. Persons who report a suspicion of wrongdoing in good faith are protected from harm, retaliation or other negative consequences as a result of their report.

A report may relate to, among other things:

• (suspected) violations of laws and regulations;
• fraud, corruption or other breaches of integrity;
• danger to the safety of persons;
• danger to public health;
• environmental damage or risks to the environment;
• other serious abuses in which the public interest is at stake.

If desired, confidential treatment of the report may be requested. Reports can also be handled anonymously insofar as this is reasonably possible.
